RE-STRIKE FAILURE: On-off cycles, or re-strikes, can significantly decrease the lifetime of traditional lighting sources. LEDs, however, are not subject to this problem, as a LED does not need to be continuously heated. In other words, turning LED lights on and off does not impact its longevity as it does with traditional lighting sources.
